Year 6 Girls Football Match
Westfields Junior V Greenfields (Home) – Thursday 29th February
On Thursday 29th February the WJS Year 6 Girls Football Team played in a cup match against Greenfields on a very soggy pitch at home! This was the team’s first fixture this year and we started strong following our weekly training sessions. After some skilful play, at half time the score was 3-1 and the second half continued with just as much action with the match ending 6-2 to Westfields. Goals were scored by Freya, Beth and Belle (who scored a hat-trick). The team were a credit to the school and played the match without a single foul being made. We now have high hopes of winning the next round which hopefully will not be as wet.
