Bikeability has been amazing! This week Year 5 pupils have had a fabulous time learning all about keeping safe while riding on the road by completing the Level 1 and 2 Bikeability Course. We started on the playground where we practised our control skills by weaving between cones and using our arms to indicate which direction we were going. Once our confidence was high, we went on to cycle around the local area. We had to learn how to turn around and stay safe at road junctions whilst developing our observation skills. As well as lots of practical activities we have also learnt all about road safety signs and symbols by reading our booklets which we have been tested on. Thank you to all of the instructors for helping us learn these life long skills — we loved it!
