On Wednesday Year 5 led their Fantastic Finish to showcase their learning from our History topic of the Anglo-Saxons and Vikings throughout the Spring Term. Parents had a look at our learning in books, the jewellery we made during our Creative Day and even took part in different history bases activities. Their knowledge was put to the test in adding key historical events on to a timeline (helped by their children), an archaeological dig site revealed many pieces of Anglo-Saxon jewellery and finally messages were written in the ancient Viking language of runes. There was also a photobooth giving the opportunity to dress like a
Viking and have a souvenir photograph. Thank you to all who attended our Fantastic Finish—fun was had by all!

This week, Year 3 also held their Fantastic Finish Celebration to showcase their learning from across the Spring Term. All children were excited to share with family members a range of Stone Age creations and explain their understanding of key concepts that we have covered. Like a gallery, the children toured our visitors around their artworks including: clay fossils, chalk carvings and cave art. The children were excited to share their creations from our Stone Age Creative Day with shelters made from natural materials and shell-inspired salt dough necklaces. As well as displaying their key pieces, the children and visitors completed a range of interactive challenges linked to their learning such as a scavenger hunt, voting on why Stonehenge was built and even making their own models. It was a fantastic celebration of learning and we are grateful to all family members who joined us.
