On Wednesday Year 5 presented their Fantastic Finish to showcase our learning from our History topic of the Anglo-Saxons and Vikings. Parents and family members had a look at our learning in books, the
jewellery we made during our Creative Day and took part in a number of different history based activities: their knowledge was put to the test in adding key historical events onto a time line (helped by their children)
and messages were written in the ancient Viking language of runes. There was also a photo booth giving the opportunity to dress like a Viking and have a souvenir photograph. Thank you to everyone who attended, the children love to share their many achievements and celebrate with you.

Thank you to all of our families who joined Year 3 on Thursday for our Fantastic Finish Exhibition. It was wonderful to see so many of you celebrating the children’s learning and taking time to view and appreciate their work together. Families enjoyed exploring the children’s Stone Age cave art, clay fossils, chalk art and miniature shelter. We hope you were impressed with your children’s non-chronological reports all about the Stone Age. There was also the opportunity to view the model cars the children had designed and evaluated. There were plenty of opportunities to get involved in activities, including creating Stone Age Stop-Motion animations and working together to build Stonehenge using Jenga! We are so proud of all the children’s hard work and the enthusiasm they have shown throughout this topic.
