Year 4 has enjoyed a wonderful day exploring the ancient culture of Greece. The children have had the opportunity to create traditional dishes such as: spanakopita, tzatziki, and pitta breads. They have also enjoyed discovering fascinating facts about the Greek gods and making masks to represent figures of Zeus and Athena. Other activities included delving into the world of acting by performing a Mount Olympus play in our own amphitheatre and of course our whistle stop tour of Greece, finished with a fantastic banquet where we enjoyed tasting all of the delicious food that we had made. This action-packed day has certainly brought our topic work to life!
