Yesterday our Year 3 children had the opportunity to participate in their first Creative Day and what a super day it was! Dressed in an array of animal print costumes, the children completed a variety of tasks linked to our history work all about the Stone Age! We saw some fantastic maths work where the children created their own way of counting using natural objects such as sticks, leaves, stones and symbols. We also had a special guest speaker to enrich our learning all about Skara Brae who during which the children found out lots of amazing facts about how people used to live in this beautiful Neolithic settlement. As well as this, creative skills were used to design Iron Age artefacts, make Stonehenge models and create some amazing cave paintings – fantastic practical learning!
