On Thursday this week, Year 3 ventured out on their local area walks around Yateley. Our theme this term is ‘Passport to Japan’ so we headed out to look at the geographical human and physical features of Yateley to compare our practical fieldwork findings with our classroom research into Kumamoto (a city in Japan).
We visited the residential areas, the high street and walked across some of our open spaces. On our travels, we created journey sticks featuring natural items that were collected e.g. leaves, twigs, flowers or feathers, and we used our iPads to take images to add to our journey sticks.
