Year 3 had a fantastic time during their Egyptian Creative Day! The children looked amazing in their costumes and fully embraced the opportunity to step back in time and learn all about life in Ancient Egypt. Throughout the day, they enjoyed a wide range of activities. They discovered how papyrus paper was made and created their own versions. The children also produced beautiful Tutankhamun inspired artwork and designed their own cartouches, carefully writing their names using Egyptian hieroglyphics. A particular highlight of the day was the immersive VR workshops. The children were virtually transported back to Ancient Egypt, where they explored Cairo during Egyptian rule, marvelled at the Great Pyramids of Giza and even ventured inside a pyramid! There, they discovered hidden treasures and came face to face with an impressive sarcophagus. The day was filled with creativity, curiosity and excitement, and the children thoroughly enjoyed every moment of their Ancient Egyptian adventure.
