On Monday 22nd January, all of the children were given the exciting opportunity to take part in our World Religions Day. Each year group was allocated a different religion which was then explored and discussed as an extended curriculum opportunity:
Year 3 – Buddhism Year 4 – Judaism,
Year 5 – Sikhism Year 6 – Hinduism.
The pupils had the chance to immerse themselves in their learning and demonstrate Captain Creativity as they carried out a range of creative and research based tasks to extend their knowledge and understanding of different religions. Children learnt about the key beliefs and places of worship for their focus religion as well as investigated some of the religious festivals that are celebrated. Year 6 even enjoyed a visit to our Infant School to create Rangoli art patterns!
