Another wonderfully creative and thought provoking WJS Harvest Festival took place on Wednesday morning this week organised by Miss Parker. Our celebrations were expertly narrated by some fantastic Year 4 pupils, who took on the roles of knowledgeable farmers, along with a very entertaining talking scarecrow! Each pair of buddy classes from across the school also contributed a special performance or presentation, including harvest-inspired artwork, a gratitude chain, harvest customs from around the world and some wonderful performance poetry. Mrs Long and Mrs Cannon led the whole school in singing a couple of our favourite harvest songs, accompanied by some fantastic instrumental performances. A huge well done and thank you to everyone for the creativity, enthusiasm and effort that made the celebration so special. Thank you also for your generous donations to Hart Food Bank. All of our harvest offerings were collected and will help to support local families.
