For what has now become an annual event and following the whole school home learning task to prepare justified viewpoints regarding green transport, a small group of children from each year group were selected to represent their school teams in The Great Debate 2023! On Tuesday morning, having had time to prepare their arguments for and against, the school assembled and each team attempted to convince the rest of the school their justifications were the best. After the very professional presentations were completed and there had been lots of opportunities to ask questions, every pupil was asked to vote. The results were very close as you can see:
1st – St Andrew (153 points)
2nd – St Patrick (152 points)
3rd – St George (100 points)
4th – St David (99 points)
Congratulations to all of our teams you were absolutely brilliant…so persuasive in fact… maybe we have a few politicians (or even a future Prime Minister!) of the future at WJS?
