Mobile Phones in School
In response to parent requests, children in Years 5 and 6 are able to have a mobile phone with them in school. The phone must be switched off at all times whilst on the school site and is kept in the child’s school bag, at their own risk. This arrangement was made to accommodate parents who wished their child to be able to contact them and keep in touch on their way home from school. In order to do this, a form must be signed to acknowledge the agreement and to give permission. These are available from reception.
If a child has a phone in school without the correct form, it will be kept safely at reception whilst we gain confirmation of parental permission and issue a form to be signed.
