After school on Tuesday, 4th February 2020, our mixed rugby team played their first two matches at an inter-school competition hosted at Hart Leisure Centre. Excitingly, we started off incredibly strong against a very tough opponent in Mayfield Junior School. But as a result of our training, as the game progressed, we seemed to go from strength to strength; our clever passing, agility and speed led us to a pleasing first victory. Next we played against St Nicholas School who were up for the challenge however again, Westfields came out victorious with a comprehensive victory. The whole team were terrific ambassadors for the school and 2 wins out of 2 is certainly not a bad start ahead of the second round next week! Mr Ratcliffe, Year 4 Class Teacher
