To celebrate staying safe online, the whole school once again participated in Safer Internet Day 2020 on Tuesday. We held a special internet safety themed assembly which once again gave us the opportunity to remind every pupil at Westfields about the importance of online safety. Following this across every class, whilst exploring the theme of #Freetobeme, children identified their own online identities and created avatars to represent themselves and stay safe when online.  The avatars ranged from unicorns to puppies to characters made of sports equipment! They are a fantastic way for our children to represent parts of their personalities whilst still keeping their identity safe online by not having to post photographs which is definitely not
safe!

May I take this opportunity to remind parents that we have a number of resources for parents available on the school website – and if you need any
support or advice, please do not hesitate to get in touch and we will support you in any way we can.
