This week our fabulous JRSOs took to centre stage, well… centre classroom! They bravely led a number of lessons in Year 5 and 6 all about road safety. The content of the lesson included information and reminders about the Green Cross Code as well as the laws regarding use of mobile phones and speed limits. The lessons were very exciting and interactive, our pupils had the opportunity to participate in a class debate where they explored the pros and potential hazards of walking to school unaccompanied. Finally the lessons were concluded with a quiz in the form of a kahoot to allow the JRSOs to assess how much their peers had learnt. In true teacher style, our team of JRSOs even designed and made certificates for the winning teams – what superstars! Well done to them all!
