Following the need to postpone this event due to a rather soggy field on Tuesday , we managed to complete all four fun runs at various times on Wednesday and Thursday. This adapted event has become a firm favourite in the WJS Calendar as a fantastic opportunity to encourage physical activity whilst raising money for a wonderful charity.
Following a fun warm up led by Miss Barrand, the children raced off from their individual markers to complete the circuit around the field—some even choosing to run, jog or walk more than was required! Our newly elected team captains did a great job with their flags and words of encouragement to support the runners on their merry way! Lots of fun was had by all and the children were excited to receive their medals too!
We have asked that all children raise £1.00 so that we can send off our school donation to this fantastic charity. Thank you for your support, please return all sponsorship by Friday 13th November; I will let you know our final total in due course.
