On Monday, we started our Friendship Week by celebrating Odd Socks Day. The children all looked amazing in their brightly coloured socks, showcasing their individuality. That day, we spent time discussing and celebrating how we are all different. For one of their activities, the children also identified how they are and could be a good friend to others. For ‘Friendship Week’ the theme for this year is ‘Reach Out’. So, we spent time discussing who we can reach out to and how we can do it. We wrote a pledge to show how we could ‘Reach Out’ to others. As well as this, Year 4 spent some time with children from Westfields Infant School. They were brilliant when discussing how they could be good friends as well as talking about their likes and interests. The children were fantastic ambassadors for our school and it was lovely to hear how much all the children enjoyed spending time with each other.
