JRSO Team at Westfields Junior School

The Junior Road Safety Officers (JRSOs) are 12 children from Year 5 and 6 who work hard to educate other children in our school about road safety through assemblies and teaching road safety lessons in all year groups. They also promote annual events such as ‘Time to Shine Day’ and ‘Walk to School Week’ which increase children’s awareness of wearing bright, fluorescent clothing to be seen during darker months and promote healthy and environmentally friendly alternatives to travel to school such as walking, cycling and riding the bus.
