Last Friday (15th May) Year 5 held their Fiver Challenge Business Fair on the playground and in the school hall. After carefully investing their £5 budgets into a business idea, the pupils worked in groups to set up stalls to attempt to raise as much as money as they could utilising every entrepreneurial skill they had. The ideas ranged from food (cookies, popcorn and drinks) to games (including hook-a-duck, higher and lower) and items to buy (key rings, bookmarks). In total the children raised an amazing £811.68 which was a truly impressive profit particularly considering the weather which was certainly not as sunny as previous years! Huge well done to all of the Year 5 children for another unforgettable event and of course a huge thank you to all of our parents and families who supported the event, I think we can safely say fun was had by all with the exception of the staff who ‘volunteered’ to be soaked with sponges!
