As mentioned last week, after school on Friday, our fabulous Year 5 pupils hosted their annual Fiver Challenge Business Fair. As a valuable real life experience, each small group was given a £5 budget to
make a profit by creating games, products or experiences in order to raise money towards their residential trip next year. With a variety of stalls including bracelets, cookies, penalty shoot outs, nail painting, basketball and dart competitions, as well as the annual favourite sponge the teacher, they managed to raise £805. Well done to our young entrepreneurs and business people of the future. Support from family members and peers is greatly appreciated. Well done Year 5, what a fantastic learning experience to develop your understanding of teamwork, marketing, budgeting and fundraising! We hope this
opportunity also helps our pupils to understand how much hard work goes into earning money particularly for luxuries such as residential visits!
