Tuesday was one of my favourite mornings of the year as I do love to hear our children sing and when this is in a church all together with our staff, parents and local community members, there really is something magical! This year’s Carol Service at St Swithun’s Church was no exception, our talented Year 4 narrators led us all through a service of traditional and modern carols and songs that would warm the coldest of hearts. As anticipated as a result of their hard work in preparing, the children were great, super expression and clear confident speaking. As well as all singing together our wonderful School Choir (led by Mrs Casselton) performed which is always a treat! The service was made all the more memorable as we were joined by record numbers of parents and VIP guests. This year our VIPs included our Town Mayor, Gerry Crisp; Mr German the Headteacher at Yateley School and a whole host of councillors and other community members. We all appreciate these very busy individuals finding the time to join us—thank you!
