Today, we had exciting visitors come in to WJS to host VR workshops for Years 3 and 6! Year 3 had a fantastic time in their VR workshop, diving into the world of Ancient Egypt! They got to explore virtual tombs, uncover the secrets of the pyramids and witness artefacts. It was a totally immersive experience that really brought their topic to life in 360 degrees! In Year 6, the children (and staff!) kick started our new “Deadly Disasters” topic with an epic VR adventure – getting virtually dropped above volcanoes! It was a thrilling way to learn about volcanic eruptions and the difference between them, all while feeling like we were right in the middle of the action.

Both year groups had an unforgettable time with these VR workshops, making learning fun and interactive. These sessions gave our pupils the chance to experience their topics in a whole new way and I am certain that they will not be forgotten any time soon!
