On Tuesday afternoon the sun shone and we were all very excited to complete our Race For Life Fun Run as our whole school physical extended curriculum activity this term. The children fashioned their pink accessories to participate in year group heats and share lots of fun in aid of a very worthy cause. As always, the children were once again highly motivated to participate in this charity event and as you can see in the photographs fun was had by one and all!
Following a warm up led by our newly elected Team Captains, the children raced off to complete the circuits as many as three times. Our fantastic team captains also did a fantastic job leading the way and supporting their team members from every year group and of course the children were excited to receive their certificates too!
I would like to thank Mr Farrell (our new PE Co-ordinator) who organised the event as well as all of the staff who supported him to ensure it was a memorable and enjoyable event. As I am sure you will recall, we asked that each participant raised £1.00 in aid of Cancer Research UK; we have collected a fantastic £1679 which Mrs Pagden has sent off today.
