We do appreciate that it is perhaps a little early but due to other commitments (including the Year 4 residential next week), we wanted to celebrate all together so Miss Pollard prepared an array of themed activities  to mark this momentous event in British History. To meaningfully develop the children’s knowledge and understanding about the Coronation of King Charles III , the children were set  an exciting  range of activities which included creating fact files, designing a new postage stamp, letter writing from the viewpoint of a new royal and creating a congratulations card for the king himself! At 11.30am this morning, although not quite the same as Westminster Abbey, WJS re-enacted the crowning of our very own Charlies attended by us all dressed in our finery to mark this special occasion!
Once again, thank you to Miss Pollard (our History  Co-ordinator) for leading the event and of course the whole WJS Dream Team for embracing such a wonderful learning opportunity so creatively.
