Race for Life Fun Run Third time lucky!… we were all very excited to finally complete our Race For Life Fun Run on Wednesday afternoon.
Following the need to reschedule the event due to the torrential rain we have had, we finally fashioned our pink outfits and accessories to share lots of fun physical activity. The children were once again very enthusiastic about participating in this charity event and as you can see in the photographs the sun even made a very welcomed appearance! Following a rather jazzy warm up led by Miss Bevins, the children raced off with huge smiles to complete the circuit. Our fantastic team captains did a wonderful job leading the way and encouraging their team members from every year group and of course the children were excited to receive their medals too! I would like to thank Mr Frame (our PE Co-ordinator) who organised the event as well as all of the staff who supported him to ensure it was a success that we hope the children will remember.
As I am sure you will recall, we have asked that all children raise £1.00 in aid of Cancer Research UK; we have already collected a fantastic £929 but would like to remind you that all sponsorship is due to be handed in to school by Friday 18th November so we can send off our total donation to this worthy charity.
