Today 3CC’s assembly all about animals including humans, transported the audience to planet Mars to watch contestants take part in the first ‘I’m An Alien Get Me Out of Here!’ competition. The Mars Tucker Trial included delicacies from planet Earth and the aliens had to taste foods from the 5 main groups (protein, carbohydrates, fruit and vegetables, sugars/fats and dairy) which humans need to eat for a balanced diet.
Surprisingly, the aliens particularly enjoyed eating oranges! The children also wowed the crowd with facts about the human skeletal system from knowing how many bones in an adult body to the smallest bone in the human body. A fantastic rap about how the skeleton joins together was also shared. The assembly ended with a dinner party for a herbivore, carnivore and omnivore. Would you know what to feed them if they came to your house for dinner? Our fun and catchy song explained what they all eat.
Well done to all of the children who were so confident and clear (even with some pretty tricky scientific words!) and of course the staff team for their hard work and encouragement!
